Horsley Village Fete 2026

Horsley Fete returns to Priory Fields on Saturday 19 September, from 12p to 5pm, for another relaxed afternoon of music, dancing, food and traditional village fete fun.

Bring the family and make an afternoon of it - sit on the hay bales and relax - there's plenty for children to do, such as the bouncy castle as well as Horsley's brilliant playground next to the playing field.

There will be Morris dancing from Ragged and Old to open the fete at noon, a display from Katy Walton Dance, tug o war and live music throughout the afternoon, including Ironwood Sky. The dog show, sponsored by George Vet, starts at 2pm, alongside classic cars, heritage farm animals from Hayloft Farm.

Around the field there will be community, artisan and activity stalls, interesting craft demonstrations such as from 100 Acre Wood in Wotton and a local Bodger, massages from ReBalance in Nailsworth. For food and drink there's the bar from Big Red Bus Bar (mini), BBQ including meat and vegan options, Winstones Ice Cream and tea and cake in the Village Hall.

Everyone is invited to have a go at the traditional Craft and Produce Show, held in the 3-in-1 and church, with classes for both adults and children. Whether you grow, bake, make or create, pick up an entry form from Horsley Community Shop or on Facebook to see the classes and enter.

The fete raises money for Horsley 3-in-1, the community building used by the village school and wider community. That's all the funds raised including all entries, car parking donations, food and drink. Plus all funds from the usual grand raffle - thanks to wonderful local businesses who have donated prizes including an afternoon tea at DeVere Tortworth Court, Bee experience and family ticket to Woodchester Mansion.

Entry is by a suggested donation of £2 for adults, with children free. Parking is available in a nearby field for a donation, or it's a lovely walk up from Nailsworth.
