Stinking Bishop Cheese

You may have tasted it, you've probably smelt it, but did you know that Stinking Bishops cheese hails from Dymock?

Stinking Bishop is a washed-rind cheese, made from the milk of Gloucester cattle, produced since 1972 by Charles Martell and Son at Hunts Court Farm, Dymock.

Dymock Daffodils

The area around Dymock is famed for its wild daffodils that can be seen each year around the end of March.

Some say that the daffodils were the inspiration behind the line "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood" in Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken". Frost was one of the "Dymock Poets", a literary group of the early 20th century who lived in and around Dymock. The Group's members included Robert Frost, Lascelles Abercrombie, Rupert Brooke, Edward Thomas, Wilfrid Wilson Gibson and John Drinkwater.
